Security Negligence

After a violent incident, particularly incidents involving workplace violence, there are always questions regarding how could this have happened. An element that is frequently identified in the subsequent investigation is the fellow employee or colleague who comments after the incident, “I should have said something,” or “I knew that person was going to do something.” Many of these violent workplace violence incidents evolve into civil litigation. Employers are sued for various aspects of security negligence. Allegations include lack of, or poor employee screening, lack of supervision, inadequate notification systems to report security concerns, poor physical security, firearm policies, etc. Basic Security Vulnerability Assessments can assist employers in identifying security deficiencies and considerably reduce exposure to catastrophic judgments.  Proactive security measures are cost-effective, can improve efficiency and morale. Consider employing a trial-tested security expert to reduce your security negligence exposure.
