Sean Mulholland Gives Cyber Security Presentation at Jacksonville Rotary Club

Cyber Security & Computer Forensics

Jacksonville Rotary Club

09 May, 2016

Sean Mulholland, President of Mulholland Investigation & Forensics, provided a Cyber-Security presentation to the Rotary Club of Jacksonville today. The presentation provided insight into the exponential increase in Electronically Stored Information (ESI) and Social Media usage statistics. Reference to Facebook frauds and perils were referenced in actual investigations conducted by Mulholland Forensics.

Means of reducing the likelihood of being victimized in Ransonware (the rapidly evolving threat of malware that infects your systems, encrypts your data, and demands a ransom payment – often in BitCoin – to release your files) or related malicious attacks were provided. Penetration Testing (the practice of testing a computer system, network, or web application to find vulnerabilities that an attacker could exploit) is recommended, as ESI is becoming more and more a part of our lives.

There is no bias as to who is on Social Media: children, parents, grandparents… They are all using Social Media in some fashion. USE the PRIVACY SETTINGS to limit your publicly available information!
